The History of Ansaldo group of schools
Developed as follows as,
It is located in Chengalpat district, Thazhambur panchayat, is a small area called as Rettai Malai Seenivasan Nagar. It was occupied by the British people and later it had been donated to Panchamar people. But the higher cost community people had forcefully taken and they treated the Dalit people as slaves.
In the year, 1994, on the head of Rev.Fr Yesu Marian (SJ) the advocate, committee member (IACM) and the young youth girls and boys together, surrounded and broke the compound wall and placed the Ambedkar statue and immediately the nearby 10 cents have been shared to each Dalit families at the same time to develop the poor children in the Dalit familes and to help them grow in their life and to encourage them to take steps in their life and also to develop that area. At that time LC Maria was the superior general (FSAG), after the discussion of her and Rev. Sr Velankanni the provincial of Shalom province, the convent had been built in the same locality. With the help of Rev. Fr Yesu Marian and in the providence of St. Joseph, the convent had been commenced on 22nd August 1998. The first community sisters were Sr. Lourdhu Mary (superior), Sr. Antoniammal and Sr. Motcham.

By these evening classes being conducted, the sisters formed “ART GALLERIES” on the 14th of April,1998. As a result of the formation of Art Galleries, Evangelization occurred. By evangelization, Social services, Women welfare, summer vacation, small savings, counseling, tailoring, Ansaldo marundhagam, special coaching for class 10 and 12, law counseling, appeasement and social transformation works have been done with their whole heart.
By the inspiration of the people from the sisters, Ansaldo High School was opened by Rev. Fr Yesu Marian on 2nd October 1998 with the motto of “KARPOM MAANBADAIVOM”. It was first opened with 10 students and was led by Sr. Lourdhu Mary (Correspondent), Sr. Motchan (HM).
The people who attended the “Opening ceremony of the school” were Rev. Sr. LC Marial, (Superior general), Rev. Sr. Velankanni (Shalom provincial), Community sisters, Rev. Fr. Yesu Marian, The Panchayat President of Muttukadu Mr. Ashogan, The Panchayat President of Thazhambur Mrs. Logammal, Thomas, Devendran and Louis. Sr. Jebamalai Mary, Sr. Pauline, Sr. Vasanthi, Sr. Fathima Sebastian, Sr. Catherine Priya, Sr. Anbu Anitha, Sr. Arockiya Jothi, Sr. Mary Diana, Sr. Alodie, Sr. Margaret Ammukutty, Sr. Gnana Selvi were followed by being the correspondents and HMs. Now, the school has got 70 children and 4 staff members. Since the number of students kept reducing as time passed, parents started to demand for an English medium school. As per their demand, on the 1st of July, 2015, “ANSALDO ACADEMY” (CBSE) begun with the motto “EMPOWERING IN VIRTUE AND WISDOM”. Initially, it had 1 teaching staff along with 2 sisters and 16 students in Seenivasan Nagar, Thazhambur, Chengalpet district, Tamilnadu. The school’s first correspondent and principal were Sr. Fathima Sebastian and Sr. Altio Serena and the people who succeeded are Sr. Salomi Rani, Sr. Diana, Sr. Gnana Selvi, Sr. Arockiya Mary Nathiya, Sr. Alodie, Sr. Pauline Mary, Sr. Margaret Ammukutty. Over the years, the school’s educational environment has grown dynamically and it currently accommodates 230 students with 9 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff members. The boys occupied 123 seats and the girls occupied 107 seats. The tribal, Dalit, economically poor and backward people (SC, ST), marginalized people were benefitted by the school. E.g., No. of students in SC – 50, ST – 48, Single Parent students – 20, Orphanage students – 15. Ansaldo Academy is renowed for its academic excellence and discipline, providing students not only quality education but also extra-curricular activites such as yoga, silambam, karate and music.
